Hi, I’m Dr. Tabitha Johnson.

I’m a marriage and family therapist, author, speaker, and happily married wife to my husband, Derek Johnson. When I was 16 years old, all I thought about was getting married, and I was convinced that I would be married when I was 18. Well, things didn’t go as I had planned. Since I wasn’t married at 18, my parents convinced me to go to college (thank God). During my studies, I fell in love with the field of marriage and family. I pursued both master’s and doctorate degrees in the field, going straight through and completing eight years of school without any time off (I had no life except for school)!  Finally, after multiple boyfriends (lots of Mr. Wrongs), three college degrees, and relocating to various states for school and jobs four times, I married the love of my life when I was 29.

During my 17 years of being in the field of marriage and family, I have specialized in premarital education (premarital counseling). I spent my entire doctorate program studying couples and researching what makes couples succeed in marriage. I’ve also studied what makes people feel disconnected in marriage and divorce. No, only pay for the course once.  If your fiancé is in a different location from you, simply share the course workbook with him/her so you can complete the course together.

Since this is a video-based interactive course, you can move at your own pace. Some activities may take longer for some couples than for others.

Absolutely. Just save your login information, and you can complete the program at your own pace. Just log back in when you’re ready to keep going. You keep access to the course for 90 days, or up to 1 full year, depending on which membership level you purchase.

No worries, you can still complete the course together. Upon registering for the course, simply share your login information with one another, and each of you can log in and watch the videos, then talk about the assignments afterwards. Or, once you register for the course, simply share the course workbook with your partner, and they can follow along in all the course materials with you.

You can print off your certificate of completion immediately after you complete the course. How cool is that? There’s no waiting for us to get to our office and see that you’ve completed the course. Everything is automated!

What about the three-day waiting period to get married after we get our marriage certificate?
No need to wait. Once you’ve completed this course and have the certification of completion, the three-day wait period to get married is waived in Florida. You can complete the course, get your license, and get married all in the same day if you’d like.

We are a registered provider in all 67 counties in Florida, and have obtained either written or verbal confirmation from the county clerks offices. If you’d like to verify this information prior to completing the course, just visit the list of approved counties page to view your specific county’s contact information. For your convenience and reference, we’ve linked any written confirmation we’ve received from each county. Or, if you’d like to contact them, you can verify that Dr. Tabitha Johnson is a premarital course registered provider in their county.

We are not Florida residents–we are coming to Florida for a destination wedding. Does the discount still apply?
